yeah I'm gonna talk about the korg nanoSeries again

it looks like the nanoseries is expected to arrive late october and the price dropped a bit.

nanoKEY is $49, nanoPAD is $59, nanoKONTROL is $59. plus free shipping from sweetwater.com

sweetwater.com says because of their great relationship with korg, they might be able to get them sooner than late october. we'll see about that...

Old Electro... New CD!

Hello everyone,

This weekend I was able to do something that was truly great.  I went to the silence theatre on Fairfax in Los Angeles and saw two old "breaksploitation" movies.  I saw "Beat Street" and "Breakin'."  Both were amazing.  Especially "Beat Street" which had a million cameos, one of which was Afrika Bambaataa.

But the best part of the night was that the Arabian Prince (one of the original members of N.W.A. and west coast Electro legend) was there spinning.  It was awesome!  He played all the old jams and I even got a picture with him.

He actually has a new album that just came out on Stones Throw Records.  It is called "Innovative Life: The Anthology, 1984-1989."  It is really awesome and you should get it if you are into Electro.
Sweet!

Gustav....over

Survived the hurricane today without much drama. I set up my time lapse camera on the porch and let it run for the worst of the storm up until the eye passed us over, here is the result. the little white things on the bottom of some of the frames is a group of ducks that hung out under the trees for the majority of the storm.

Burial goes all public 'n stuff...

There's a lil' post called "tunes" and a picture of a beanie wearing dude up on his mypace... COULD IT BE TRUE?
