After seeing some of her videos online a TV show in the UK brought her on to perform, <a href="http://www.littlebootsmusic.co.uk/home.htm">now shes got a record out</a>. I honestly watch to see who the musical guest is and if they are playing with The Roots, and to fill the commercial breaks of <a href="http://www.cbs.com/late_late_show/">Craig Ferguson</a>. Anyways, on Friday Erykah Badu sat in with the band to do Michael Jackson covers, before taping they recorded cover of <span style="font-style: italic;">I Wanna Be Where You Are</span>. ?uestlove shared up the link via twitter, and <a href="http://www.zshare.net/audio/61977854b333d9bf/">I share it here with you</a>, its pretty great.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8103315067234313784-1834780050442309496?l=catalogrecords.blogspot.com'/></div>tmbrudyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08265627896702451404noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8103315067234313784.post-89541777930105655242009-06-26T09:12:00.000-07:002009-06-26T09:17:17.934-07:00How'd he do it?We all know that Michael Jackson was a beast. One of the tricks he had up his sleve was the smooth criminal move, when he and other dancers would lean past 45 degrees and not fall over. I remember as a kid trying and falling a few times, and watching the videos and looking for lines or some way they would hold them up. Then seeing it done live I couldn't believe it could be done in a concert. If you watch this video you can see a clue as to how its done if you watch the foot of the guy on the right (if you dont want to sit through the awesomeness fast forward to 3:50ish).<br /><br /><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_ix9GlHZdWY&amp;color1=0xb1b1b1&amp;color2=0xcfcfcf&amp;hl=en&amp;feature=player_embedded&amp;fs=1"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_ix9GlHZdWY&amp;color1=0xb1b1b1&amp;color2=0xcfcfcf&amp;hl=en&amp;feature=player_embedded&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object><br /><br /><a href="http://gadgets.boingboing.net/2009/06/25/michael-jacksons-pat.html">If you want to see how its done click here to read how its done, unless you want to keep the illusion alive, its pretty ingenious.</a><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8103315067234313784-8954177793010565524?l=catalogrecords.blogspot.com'/></div>tmbrudyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08265627896702451404noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8103315067234313784.post-29129963814089581382009-06-25T10:01:00.001-07:002009-06-25T10:02:45.855-07:00Design Opportunity<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://s3files.core77.com/blog/images/computar001.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 381px; height: 633px;" src="http://s3files.core77.com/blog/images/computar001.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://www.core77.com/blog/cartoons/coretoon_the_computar_13863.asp">taken from core 77</a><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8103315067234313784-2912996381408958138?l=catalogrecords.blogspot.com'/></div>tmbrudyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08265627896702451404noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8103315067234313784.post-74860659148991543542009-06-19T13:33:00.000-07:002009-06-19T13:35:51.852-07:00TouchOSC on your phone<object height="469" width="580"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/vAYIhLj93LE&amp;color1=0xb1b1b1&amp;color2=0xcfcfcf&amp;hl=en&amp;feature=player_embedded&amp;fs=1"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/vAYIhLj93LE&amp;color1=0xb1b1b1&amp;color2=0xcfcfcf&amp;hl=en&amp;feature=player_embedded&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" height="469" width="580"></embed></object><br /><br />Available on the iPhone, iTouch. What starts off as looking like your run of the mill black roadcase has a few sensors in it. And as you start to dance near it, it opens up and plays dance music.
