This may be old news to you but the fine people at electro-harmonix have released a new looping pedal. This not your average bear, it has many built in effects filters and the capability to use 8 user programable presets. And since the effects have nice little knobs it should be pretty fun. Sound Advice
While this group is designed to create bracelets that are for telling your kids to not use drugs, its still pretty neat. I might have to rip this off and make my own.

ThruYou
Check out this really neat project by Kutiman.
What they did is they made an entire album out of clips sourced from the youtube. Its a pretty neat visual of all these clips that singularly are pretty lame, but together they work well. I particularly like track 1, mostly because it features my boy purdie and a thermin solo by a man with a mullet. But they are all pretty good.

Analyzing the click track
The Music Machinery blog wrote a little program to analyze drummers to see whether or not they used click tracks to keep the drums on time. Lots of nice charts, including the compiled one below, the crazy one is of course Bonham.
